Hi Diane,

How fantastic! I've been a huge fan of M.C. Escher since I was little; I've always admired his mathematic genius that allowed him to come up with such mesmerizing pieces of work. I'm so happy you're also a fan!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who saw M.C. Escher in the movie. It was incredible to see it all in live motion. Love your tribute too!

Definitely agree to your take on point 1 above, one would think that a psychologist would look deeper into what makes you happy. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi has researched 'the flow' which is the secret to happiness and talks about how you can reach this state in any circumstances.

On point 8, I get worried. There is much that we do not know about health and now we spend $2 trillion (yes, trillion) a year on healthcare. You would think with this amount we'd be the healthiest in the history of mankind. However there are many motivations that steer this research to produce only what can be patented. Top scientists will admit that we are a long way off understanding the human body. However, when we were on a natural diet (for 99.8% of human existence) we definitely did better than on the modern processed diet. By putting our faith in a system that is primarily concerned with only patentable products is very dangerous. For example, we're always told that saturated fat = heart disease, but looking deeper into the studies nothing supports this. (See: http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE61341020100204?rpc=60). For the moment, I would have more faith in what's natural than the current system.
